Hi! If you’re new here my name is Brittany Coleman!
I started blogging as Pocketsandbows in 2009. I was a fresh college graduate and could not land a job for 6 months to save my life! I’m sure so many of you all can relate! I remember discovering the world of blogging and feeling so inspired. This was my first time ever seeing regular women have a platform to showcase ‘“everyday looks” and I couldn’t help but be intrigued! A little backstory about me, I have always been known for my style; from elementary through college, I was the go to for fashion advice and was always told that I was destined to be a fashion designer.
Little did they know, I can’t draw a stick figure so that dream just didn’t seem feasible LOL, however when I discovered the world of blogging, that gave me the opportunity to share my passion for style and fashion without having to actually design. So I began curating looks to post on my blog and that led to opportunities that I never would have imagined like magazine features, brand deals and my YouTube channel which is where most of you probably found me!
I started my YouTube channel, PocketsandbowsTV as an extension of my fashion blog in 2012! I really found my niche there! I found my passion in connecting with my viewers and being able to provide a digital visual of how to style everyday looks that make you feel confident! A few years into my Youtube journey, Work and Life’s circumstances made it easy for me to allow my blog to take a backseat and I stopped posting completely in 2015! Well here we are 5 years later, I have a full time career in finance and vastly budding social media career that I am so proud of! So what better time than now, to relaunch! I always preach that you must have a space on the internet that belongs to you to ensure stability in social media, so today I am practicing what I preach!
